I have a class at the time that the seminars are given so I can’t go to any - what do I do?
I have signed up for a seminar but would like to go to another. Can I switch?
Can I go to two seminars on the one day?
Some seminars that I want to go to are on the same day. Will you be repeating seminars?
I’d like to give a seminar but I haven’t got much experience. What do you think?
Where are the seminars held?
Unless stated otherwise, they are all in IH Nuevos Ministerios, the building where the induction days were held.

Can you remind me how to get to IH Nuevos Ministerios?
Metro line 10 to Nuevos Ministerios. When you get off, follow the signs for ‘facturación’ (luggage check-in) and take the exit at the end of this hall. Any bus from Colon going north along the Castellana will do. A taxi from AM will cost about 4.50 euros – not a bad option for 4 teachers sharing.

I have a full time contract with the general school, so do I need to attend something on all the seminars days this term?
Yes!

I have a full time contract but most of my hours are with the business centre. Do I have to attend both lots of seminars?
No. You may need to attend important meetings or seminars at the business centre which fall on the same day. You decide which seminars would be more appropriate for you.

I only have 12 hours with IH. How many hours of seminar do I have to attend?
Since your contract is roughly half of a full time contract you should attend half of the seminar days.

I have a class at the time that the seminars are given so I can’t go to any - what do I do?
There are very few teachers in this situation but if you are one of them, you should ask your ADOS for additional support in lieu of the training you are missing.

I have signed up for a seminar but would like to go to another. Can I switch?
Yes, just let the seminar givers know or send a quick email to ttraining@ihmadrid.com

I have signed up for a seminar but now realise I have a medical appointment on that day. What should I do?
Just as you would if you had to be absent from your regular classes. Let your ADOS know and provide the usual ‘jutificante’ (doctor’s line).

Can I go to two seminars on the one day?
No. All the seminars start at 12.30 so you can’t be in two places at the one time.

Some seminars that I want to go to are on the same day. Will you be repeating seminars?
Yes, especially if there is demand. Let your ADOS know or send me an email.

Can I give a seminar?
Certainly! Contact me on smcguire@ihmadrid.com and talk through your idea. The more teachers who get involved the better.

I’d like to give a seminar but I haven’t got much experience. What do you think?
Seminars are about sharing ideas with other teachers and everyone has something to offer. If you need any guidance, we would be happy to help.
